Small Tools. Big Experiments.
Labs is where SO-MA builds on its own account: paid apps on the App Store, an AI platform born inside an industrial company, and tools we use every day. This is where we test what comes next, before anyone asks for it.
why a lab
An agency that only gives advice never risks a thing. We ship products of our own, with real users and real revenue. That method, tested on ourselves, is what flows into client projects.
Build for real
Paid products with names of their own and real users, not conference demos.
Measure without excuses
Revenue, public reviews and daily use. What is not measured does not count.
Transfer to clients
The method that survives our own use goes into the projects we sell.
the products
Built Here, Used Out There.
Four products and tools with lives of their own, and a bench that is never empty.
trinta.ai
AI-powered public-tender radar. It reads more than 900 official sources a day, across more than 145 countries, and was born inside a real company, Ultra Controlo. In its first week it surfaced €700K in opportunities.
- 900+ sources/day
- 145+ countries
- €700K in week one
Renda.app
iOS rental-management app for Portuguese landlords, from Trinta Studio, the house app studio. Paid, profitable and with hundreds of App Store reviews.
- iOS
- €19.99
- 247 reviews
Diz Lá
A European Portuguese pronunciation app designed against gamification: no points, no badges, just honest practice in pt-PT.
- iOS
- pt-PT
- anti-gamification
UltraPDF
A Mac PDF compressor we built for the studio’s daily work: drop the file, pick a preset, send lighter proposals.
- macOS
- internal use
The Next One
There’s always a new experiment in the oven. The ones that survive our daily use become products; the rest stay curiosities.
from the lab to client work
What We Test on Ourselves Is What We Sell.
trinta.ai was born inside Ultra Controlo, a Portuguese industrial company selling to more than 80 countries, and only later became a product. The studio’s apps pay for themselves. When we propose AI to a client, we are not quoting a study: we are repeating a process that has already cost us money and already paid us back.
